Premises Liability

Slip and fall sign

Premises liability refers to accidents that happen to guests, invitees, or trespassers on another’s property. These occur among other reasons when someone slips, trips or falls as a result of a dangerous or hazardous condition on someone else’s property.

Common instances of premises liability include: falls as a result of water, ice, or snow; falls due to abrupt changes in flooring, lighting or hidden hazards such as gaps or holes in the ground; injuries to persons from the overserving of alcohol to another at a liquor serving establishment; and injuries due to poor building construction.

Brian J. McManus & Associates handles lawsuits against all premises owners, including, but not limited to, residential and commercial property owners, landlords, and liquor serving establishments.
